Terms of use
Short, because the site asks almost nothing of you. There is no account, no payment and nothing to agree to beyond ordinary use.

This page is not finished. The operator details —
legal or trading name, contact email and country — have not been
filled in. Set them in tools.manifest.json under
site.operator before this site goes live or is submitted
for ad review. Deliberately left blank rather than guessed at.
Accepting these terms
By using Free Online Tools you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel — closing the tab is sufficient.
What you may do
Use the tools freely, for anything lawful, including commercial work. No attribution is required and no permission is needed.
Output belongs to you. Anything a tool produces from your input — a resized image, a compressed document, a generated list, an extracted set of numbers — is yours to use as you see fit. We claim no rights over it. We could not sensibly claim any: we never receive it.
That said, output being free of our claims does not make it free of everyone's. A generated name may coincide with a trademark, and an image you compressed is still subject to whatever rights applied to it before. The tool changes the file, not its ownership.
What you may not do
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to produce material that infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt the site, or to place automated load on it beyond ordinary use. There is no API, and scraping the pages at volume is not ordinary use.
- Republish the site's written explanations as your own. The tools are free to use; the writing is not free to copy wholesale.
- Misrepresent generated output as real records. Invented names, dates and numbers are for fiction, testing and games — see the disclaimer.
Intellectual property
The site's design, code and written content belong to its operator. The tools themselves may be used freely; the explanatory writing around them is not licensed for republication.
Where a tool uses public-domain data or an openly licensed resource, that is stated on the tool's own page along with what the licence permits. Where a resource could not be licensed clearly, the tool was not built — those decisions are recorded rather than worked around.
Third-party names used on this site are used descriptively, to say what a tool is compatible with or what a format is called. No affiliation or endorsement is claimed or implied.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result it produces is accurate or fit for a particular purpose.
This matters more than it usually does, because several tools deal with subjects where being approximately right is not good enough. Each such tool states its own limits on its own page, and the disclaimer lists the categories where you should check with someone qualified.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from use of this site, from reliance on its output, or from its unavailability.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Privacy
Covered separately and in detail on the privacy page and the cookie notice. The short version: what you enter into a tool never leaves your browser, and advertising is a separate matter handled by a third party.
Advertising
This site carries third-party advertising. Ads are selected and served by the ad provider, not chosen by us, and their appearance is not an endorsement. We are not party to any transaction between you and an advertiser.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the operator's country of establishment, stated below, and any dispute falls to the courts of that jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your own country of residence.
