Time zone converter
Convert to (add as many as you need)

What this tool does

To convert a time between time zones, enter the date and time, pick the zone it is in, then add the zones you want to compare. The tool shows the local time and the UTC offset in each, applying daylight saving for that date. It uses the time zone database built into your browser, so it needs no connection and sends nothing.

Treats your date and time as a wall-clock time in the chosen zone, finds the exact moment it represents, and shows that moment in each added zone.

Shows every zone's UTC offset for that date and lets you copy the table or download it as CSV.

How to use it

  1. Choose the date and time, or press "Use the current time".
  2. Pick the time zone those values are in.
  3. Add other time zones from the list.
  4. Read the local time and UTC offset for each zone.
  5. Press Copy results or Download CSV.

Why use this converter

Converts one date and time into every time zone you add, with each zone's UTC offset, using your browser's own up-to-date time zone data. Scheduling a meeting across zones is easy to get wrong, because offsets change with daylight saving on different dates in different countries. Converting a specific date, not just a zone difference, avoids a one-hour mistake.

Why we built it

We built the time zone converter to show one date and time in every zone you add, with each zone's UTC offset. Send the invite with the ICS file generator and count the gap with the days until calculator.

Who this tool is for

  • Remote teams scheduling meetings
  • Travellers planning calls home
  • Event hosts with a global audience

When to use it

  • Scheduling a meeting or webinar with people in several countries.
  • Working out when a live event or a launch starts in your zone.
  • Converting a deadline given in UTC or another zone.
  • Planning calls with family, clients or teams abroad.

How it works

Each region is identified by an IANA name such as America/New_York, which carries the full history of its daylight-saving rules. Given a wall-clock time in a zone, the tool finds its offset from UTC on that date, converts to the exact UTC moment, and formats that moment in every other zone.

For example, 12:00 in New York is 17:00 UTC in January (offset UTC−05:00) but 16:00 UTC in July (UTC−04:00). Kolkata has no daylight saving and stays at UTC+05:30 all year.

Zone rules are taken from your browser's own time zone data. Governments sometimes change daylight-saving rules at short notice; a recently updated browser will have the latest.

Assumptions and limitations

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a time to another time zone?

Enter the date and time, choose the zone it is in, add the target zone and read the converted time. The tool applies daylight saving for that date.

What is the difference between UTC and GMT?

For everyday use they are the same time. UTC is the precise modern standard, and GMT is the time zone of the UK in winter and some other places year-round.

Does it handle daylight saving?

Yes. The offset used for each zone is the one in effect on the date you enter, so summer and winter conversions are both correct.

Why is there a half-hour or 45-minute offset?

Some places such as India (UTC+05:30) and Nepal (UTC+05:45) use offsets that are not whole hours. The tool handles them.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. It uses the time zone data already in your browser and sends nothing.

Can I schedule an event from the result?

Use the ICS file generator to create a calendar event, and put the time zone in the title or description.
